On September 6, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 8000 block of Polk Street, located in the Wolf Creek area.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a large crowd had gathered at the location. A group of people began following 17-year-old David Washington, leading to a fight between them. During the altercation, an unidentified suspect shot Washington.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Washington to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

UPDATE: On September 7, 2024, a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with Murder.
