On September 7th at approximately 8:20 p.m., Dallas police responded to reports of a man with a gun attempting to break into an apartment located in the 3100 block of Norwalk Avenue, in the Northwest Dallas area near Bachman Lake.
According to the preliminary investigation, upon arrival, officers gave verbal commands to the suspect, who then produced a firearm. Officers discharged their weapons, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers were injured during the incident.
The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and the Office of Community Police Oversight were notified and responded to the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
