On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at approximately 1:01 p.m., Cleburne Police Officers responded to the 500 block of Poindexter following reports of a shooting. During their response, officers learned that a female victim had been shot and transported to another location.
Upon arriving at the secondary location, officers found that an 18-year-old female, a passenger in a white SUV involved in the initial altercation, had been shot. She was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing as officers continue to follow leads.
