Arlington Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-30; Passenger in Critical Condition

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man. The incident occurred on September 8, 2024, at approximately 3:37 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-30 near Fielder Road.

Officers found a pickup truck wrecked in the center median. Investigators determined that the vehicle went off the roadway, collided with a concrete barrier, then struck a sign pillar and some guardrail. The driver, a 31-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 32-year-old female passenger was extricated by Arlington firefighters and transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Intoxication has not been ruled out as a possible factor in the crash. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
