The North Richland Hills Police Department has announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing public safety and protecting citizens from credit and debit card theft. The department has introduced advanced scanning technology that can detect hidden and overlay card skimmers at ATMs, gas pumps, kiosks, and vending machines.
This technology will be utilized across various locations where card transactions occur throughout North Richland Hills. Residents may notice uniformed officers, plainclothes detectives, or Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) actively monitoring these payment systems to prevent identity theft.
