On September 14, 2024, at approximately 2:35 AM, officers responded to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Burger Avenue, South Dallas. Upon arrival, they found 17-year-old Demaryae Dequan Hill-Young with gunshot wounds. The Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) team responded, but Hill-Young was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 140980-2024.
