Man Wanted for Downtown Dallas Blunt Object Assault Captured and Charged

Dallas Police have arrested 36-year-old Antonio Banks in connection with an assault that occurred on September 12 at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Elm Street in downtown Dallas. During the incident, the suspect struck the victim in the head with a blunt object, causing injury.

Following the release of a surveillance photo of the suspect, investigators identified Banks as the assailant. He was taken into custody on September 16 and charged with Aggravated Assault Causes Serious Bodily Injury and Criminal Trespass.

Initially, Banks’ bond was set at $150,000. However, Dallas County Judge John Butrus denied bond due to Banks' parole violation.
