Dallas Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Theft of Over $30,000

DALLAS, TX — On July 10, 2025, Senior Corporal Le Chau, badge #10552, turned himself in to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a warrant issued by the Dallas Police Department. Chau is charged with Theft of Property valued between $30,000 and $150,000, a third-degree felony under Texas law.

Chau has been with the Dallas Police Department since May 2013 and is currently assigned to the Basic Academy. Following his arrest, he was placed on administrative leave pending the results of an ongoing internal investigation.
