Man Arrested for Murder After Woman Found Dead in Johnson County Home

JOSHUA, Texas — A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a woman found unresponsive at a residence Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2:53 p.m. on March 29, 2026, to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive female in the 4000 block of Dillard Court in Joshua.

Upon arrival, deputies located Patricia Roman, 40, deceased inside the home.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Texas Rangers, launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

As a result of that investigation, authorities detained and interviewed Noe Reyes, 40, who was later arrested and charged with Roman’s murder.

The investigation remains ongoing.
