McKinney Man Arrested on Child Abuse Material Charges Following Lewisville ICAC Investigation
LEWISVILLE, Texas — A McKinney man has been arrested on multiple felony child exploitation charges following an investigation by the Lewisville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Crimes Against Children (CAC) units, officials announced.
Paulo Andre Gonzales was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, after law enforcement executed arrest and search warrants at his residence in McKinney. Gonzales faces two counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault.
NCMEC CyberTips Lead to Search Warrant
The investigation originated in July 2026 after Lewisville police detectives received multiple CyberTips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Through forensic follow-up, investigators identified Gonzales as the suspect associated with the flagged digital activity and successfully secured warrants for his arrest and the search of his property.
Multi-Agency Search and Dual-County Charges
On August 26, Lewisville Police CAC and ICAC detectives, alongside members of the Lewisville Police SWAT Team, executed the warrants at Gonzales's McKinney residence, where he was located and taken into custody.
The Dallas Police Department ICAC Unit provided agency support during the search, deploying an Electronics Detection Canine to assist detectives in locating hidden digital devices and electronic storage evidence.
Gonzales was charged with two counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault. One charge stems from a Denton County arrest warrant, while a second charge was filed in Collin County based on additional material uncovered during the search of his home. His bond was set at $100,000.
The Lewisville Police Department reiterated its commitment to aggressively investigating child exploitation allegations and leveraging regional law enforcement partnerships to hold offenders accountable.
