Woman Arrested After Irving Police Find Nearly 28 Grams of Meth Hidden in Her Bra

IRVING, Texas - A 44-year-old woman from Grand Prairie faces a first-degree felony drug charge after Irving police said they found nearly 28 grams of methamphetamine concealed inside her bra during a traffic stop.

The incident began at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 when an Irving Police Department investigator spotted a white Nissan Sentra traveling northbound in the 900 block of S. Belt Line Road.

According to police, the investigator noticed that the driver was not wearing a seat belt and notified two officers, who stopped the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Noemi Contreras, 44. Police said Contreras was arrested for the traffic violation.

As officers were placing her into a patrol vehicle, Contreras told them she had methamphetamine concealed inside her bra, according to the investigation. During a subsequent search, police recovered a substance from her bra that was identified as methamphetamine.

The methamphetamine weighed approximately 27.8 grams.

Contreras was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1, between 4 and 200 grams, a first-degree felony.

Court records also show Contreras has previous felony convictions for burglary of a vehicle and fraud.
