Irving takes out Macarthur with help from Goodman, 6-5
Irving beat Macarthur 6-5 in seven innings on Tuesday at Irving High behind Madison Goodman, who went 2-3. Madison currently leads the DFW metro plex in at bats and RBIs.
She tripled in the fourth inning and scored on a bobble by McArthur.
McKensie Goodman's six strikeouts were enough to push Irving past Macarthur. McKensie Goodman allowed no earned runs on seven hits and one walk over seven innings. This is McKensie’s 14th win on the season and improves Irving to 14-12 on the season and 3-3 in 6 5A. The Tigers are in sole possession of 4th place after the completion of the first round of play. The Tigers will host Irving Nimitz on Thursday to start the second round of district play.
