Grand Prairie Defeats the Irving Tigers 35-31
Grand Prarie Running back Jordan McGuire scored the go-ahead touchdown with 44 seconds left in the game. McGuire only had four carries in the game, but made his final run count.
Grand Prairie (2-0) was in control early, going up 21-7 midway through the second quarter.
Irving (0-2) then scored three touchdowns as they appeared to gain some momentum. Irving briefly took the lead again in the fourth quarter on a field goal with 4:40 left in the game.
Abraham Newsome led the rushing attack for Grand Prairie, finishing with 83 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
