Irving Water Polo Team Makes Splash at Regional Level

The boys’ and girls’ water polo teams from Irving High School both landed top 10 finishes at the North Region Water Polo Championships held April 15 and 16 in Southlake. The boys’ team entered the championships ranked 12th, and the girls’ team entered the championships ranked 11th. Both teams ended the tournament ranked ninth. In addition, two members of the girls’ teams earned regional team honors. Paloma Soza, a junior, was named to the Second Team All-Region, and her teammate, junior Diana Solis, received All-Region Honorable Mention.
