Irving ISD Tennis Players Served Regional Bids

Ten Irving ISD high school tennis players are headed to regionals after an impressive showing at district this week. In addition, the players snagged three of the five district titles. Regional competition will be held April 18-20 at Baylor University in Waco. The qualifiers are as follows:

Girls Doubles - Briseyda Ponce and Daniella Cantu, Irving (district champions); Lizbeth Hernandez and Hannah Garduno

Mixed Doubles - Richard Guzman and Stephanie Aguilar, MacArthur (district champions); Rafael Martinez and Madison Gomez

Girls Singles - Olive Alexander, Nimitz (district champion); Amy Amerson, MacArthur
