Girls' basketball wraps up district play; Lady Cards move on to playoffs

The Lady Cards finished up district play by defeating Cedar Hill convincingly, 60 - 44, on February 10th. Mac had been upset in January by Cedar Hill so this was a sweet victory. The Lady Cards finished second in district 7-5A and hold an impressive 32-3 overall record for the season. The two district losses came at the hands of Cedar Hill and Duncanville.

Mac moves on to the playoffs and will play McKinney Boyd at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th at Hebron. The two teams know each other well. They played December 9th in a non-district game; Mac won 62 - 55. The Lady Broncos of Boyd finished second in District 8-5A with 6-4 record.

The Lady Tigers of Irving finished district play with a 4 - 8 record and 5th in District 7-5A.

The Lady Vikings of Nimitz defeated Grand Prairie, 51 - 40, ending the year in a positive note. They finished with a 2 - 10 record and 6th in District 7-5A.
