New UIL Realignment Puts Irving Schools in District 7

The University Interscholastic League announced the 2022-23 and 2023-24 tentative football, basketball, and volleyball district assignments for Texas Schools.

The Irving Schools are now in District 7 and will face off against the Richardson schools and two Dallas schools, Highland Park and Jesuit.  Highland Park is the newcomer to the district, having moved up to 6A from 5A.   Highland Park was a football playoff team that finished last year with a 10-2 record.  The three playoff teams last year where Jesuit, Lake Highlands and Nimitz.  Jesuit fell to Denton Guyer in an Area playoff game.   Lake Highlands lost to Allen in the Area playoffs.  Nimitz lost to Arlington Martin in a bi-district playoff game.

Ranchview in Valley Ranch (part of Carrollton school district) is now in District 7 - 4A Division 1 with Celina, Dallas Carter, Dallas Hutchins, Dallas Pinkston, Frisco Panther Creek and North Dallas.
