The Texas Rangers opened the season with a great game
The Rangers and fans could not have asked for a better opening day game. With a full house on a cloudy day, the Rangers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in a walk-off win.
Behind new ace Scott Feldman, the Rangers won 5-4 after Saltalamachia hit the game-winning hit deep to right center field.
Feldman pitched seven solid innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. He also had 3 strikeouts.
Nelson Cruz provided the spark in the seventh by hitting his first home-run of the season that scored three. Cruz also doubled in the ninth bringing in one run before Salty became the hero of the game with that last hit.
The Rangers are 1-0 and fans can begin to dream. It's going to be a great season.
