Irving Boys fall to Cedar Hill 59-51
Cedar Hill withstood early and late charges from Irving to come away with a 59-51 win in a Class 5A Region I quarterfinal at Mansfield Timberview.
Irving (24-9) broke out to a 10-2 lead but Cedar Hill (32-3) fought back to take a 28-22 halftime lead. Utah signee Shawn Glover led Cedar Hill with 21 points.
Cedar Hill led by as much as 18 in the second half, but Irving began to generate turnovers and get transition baskets.
The Tigers' James Thomas finished with 14 points, Jervante Thompson had 9 points and Desmond Henry contributed 8.
