Where are they now? Ex-Cardinal Darrin Moore Commits to Texas Tech
Darrin Moore has the talent and physique to be a great college player. After being UTEP dismissed Moore in 2009 for violation of team rules, he ended up at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. Moore caught 37 passes for 559 yards and three touchdowns last season at Blinn College who ended up winning the 2009 NJCAA football championship.
On August 27th, 2010, it was reported that Moore transferred to Texas Tech. At 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Moore will be in the mix at wide receiver on a team searching for a big target.
New Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville spoke highly of Moore, saying “He gives us that different type of receiver. We don’t have a big, physical guy."
Tech might have gotten away with a steal here. Moore had committed to Ole Miss this summer, but decided not to enroll. Instead, he decided to stay in Texas. The red raiders have him listed as their third receiver in their depth chart, which should help Moore develop with quarterback Taylor Potts airing it out this season.
