SMU's 2024 Football Schedule Revealed by ACC: Exciting Matchups and Key Dates Unveiled
The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) unveiled the schedule for the 2024 football season for all teams on Wednesday. Southern Methodist University (SMU) is gearing up for an eight-game slate, kicking off with a home game against Florida State on September 28. This marks the beginning of a four-game homestand to open the season.
Following the opener, SMU will hit the road for three consecutive away games, facing off against Louisville on October 5, Stanford on October 19, and Duke on October 26 to close out the month of October.
November will see SMU returning home for matchups against Pitt on November 2 and Boston College on November 16. The Mustangs will then embark on their final away game at Virginia on November 23 before concluding the regular season with a home game against Cal on November 30.
Adding variety to their schedule, SMU will play a weeknight game during the upcoming season. This non-conference matchup against BYU is scheduled for Friday, September 6, nestled between the season opener against HCU on August 31 and the 103rd edition of the "Battle for the Iron Skillet" against TCU on September 21.
