25-Year-Old Woman Killed, Five Others Wounded in Dallas Highland Hills Shooting

DALLAS, Texas - A 25-year-old woman was killed and five other people were wounded in a shooting early Saturday near Paul Quinn College in Dallas' Highland Hills neighborhood.

Dallas police responded around 12:55 a.m. Sept. 12 to a shooting call in the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive.

When officers arrived, they found multiple people who had been shot by unknown suspects, according to the preliminary investigation.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported six victims to a local hospital.

Zariea Brown, 25, died from her injuries at the hospital. The other five victims were reported in stable condition.

Police have not released information about what led to the shooting or identified any suspects. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
